Bindu, belongs to one of the primitive tribes of Wayanad in Kerala. They live in Madakundu coloney, the remote tribal hamlet of Wayanad Wild Life Sanctuary. After the death of her husband, the great responsibility of looking after her old mother and child fell on her shoulder. She suffered all the hardship of giving education to her child. The only income of the family was money she Bindu getting from the daily wage work of Bindhu. The family was living in a degradable house, isolated from rest of the community.
Save A Family Plan’s Family Development staffs found her and offered our help to get her out of misery .Save A Family Plan helped her to full fill her desire to start a goat rearing to get a respectable income to her family.
The Family Development Program staffs linked Bindu’s family to tribal department and they assisted her to construct a decent a house. Bindhu and her family also active in extra income generation program of vegetable cultivation.
Save A Family Plan’s trainings helped her to make organic manure to sue in her vegetable garden and get chemical and pesticide free safe food. Her Children are now studying in very good schools and Bindu is very actively participates in public forums like gramsabha.
